The museum is located at 101 Museum Drive in Palm Springs. Hours are Thursday 12-8 p.m., and Friday-Monday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The museum is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Call 760-322-4800 for more information.
Admission
The museum prides itself on being always free for children under 18, active military and their family, and NARM and ROAM participants. Adults are $16, and seniors (62+) are $14. Teachers/Students are $8. Thursday evenings, 5-8 p.m., admission is free for all. You can buy tickets on the museum website.
Exhibits
The museum hosts a number of rotating and permanent exhibits. Current highlights include “To Move Toward the Limits of Living: LGBTQ+ Works from the Collection,” “Loretta Ayeroff, The Motel Series,” “Modernistas: Discovery & Inspiration,” and more. There are also online exhibits to whet your whistle before you visit in-person.
Permanent collections include contemporary and modern art, architecture and design, and Art of the West in the Americas.
Events
The museum hosts a number of events, including performances, free admission nights, family programs, and more. Performances are given in the museum’s Annenberg Theater. Visit Frey House II for a tour, or the Aluminaire House.
Other Locations
While these spaces aren’t hosted on the main museum grounds, they’re still a part of the museum experience. Visitors interested in an extended view of architecture and design can explore even more.
